MAINE MAPLE SUNDAY is approaching. Mark you calendars and come to Spring Break Maple & Honey to celebrate maple sugaring.
We will open our sugarhouse to the public on March 27 & 28, April 3 & 4 from 10 am to 3 pm. Guided sugarbush tours will be available the first weekend at 1 pm so arrive early and come dressed for the weather with boots to participate to see the new state of the art pipeline system that was installed this past fall. A short walk will take you into our sugarbush and you will see our new pipeline, a sap lift and watch maple sap come to a sap storage tank. (if running)
Our customers will be treated to "sugar on the snow", maple coffee and maple mulled cider and Maple Sundaes with Houlton Farms Dairy ice cream will be on sale.Fresh maple syrup will be available for sale too.
Hard & soft covered children's books have arrived. They are educational books that teach children alphabet and educational facts about MAINE, animals, weather, camping and recycling.
Spring Break Gift Shop is not your typical gift shop. We specialize in MAINE made and USA made gifts. Aroostook County is filled with people who have extreme talent, come see what the local artisans have been up to during the cold months of winter. We have hand painted signs, quilted items, handmade pocketbooks and tote bags with lots of storage, 3 styles of Maine candles, wood carvings, soy lotions, goats milk soap & lotions, hand painted old sap buckets, wood drying racks, doll cradles, peg shelves, piggy banks, custom made birdhouses from reclaimed wood,wooden drying racks and much more.
Our 5 lb raw honey is currently out of stock, we apologize for this inconvenience. We do have 1 lb raw that is not on our website. Email us or call us if you are interested in this. We will try to get this back in stock as soon as possible.
Our spring e-newsletter is in the final stages and will be sent by email soon. This edition will have information medicinal uses for maple, a recipe, plus more. If you are interested in joining our mailing list/newsletter make sure you sign up and add us to you safe list or follow us on facebook.
HOURS: BY CHANCE in MARCH or by APPOINTMENT. Our hours have changed so that we may go to gift shows and work on our gift shop to provide our customers with something NEW for 2010.
Spring Break welcomes group tours all year long by appointment. Our sugarhouse & gift shop is handicap accessible, can accommodate bus tours and is equipped with a restroom.
