Our photo file contains photos of our most recent tour group and our our gift shop. We are not your usual gift shop as most of our products are made in Maine and USA and are one of a kind. If you see it when you are in, you like it, you'd better buy it as it may never be available again.
On October 26 we hosted the International Maple Syrup Institute and North America Maple Syrup Council. Two buses arrived at 10:30 am filled with 85 sugarmakers from 12 states and 4 provinces. Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia sugarmakers were treated to a hayride into our sugarbush where they seen state of the art pipeline & tubing system, toured the sugarhouse and gift shop.
North America Maple Syrup Council (NAMSC)celebrated 50 years and with the International Maple Syrup Institute (IMSI) they held there annual meetings at Bar Harbor Maine this year. Members were treated to meetings, workshops, trade show, contests, dinners and entertainment as well as a tour of Old Town Canoe, University of Maine Food Research center, and the coast of Maine.
IMSI and NAMSC will not be returning to Maine till 2019. This was such an honor for Spring Break and the town of Smyrna. It was probably a once in a lifetime event.
